During the festive season, Gauteng’s Water Policing and Diving Services recovered 28 bodies from various locations in the province, including murder victims, illegal fishermen, and drowning victims. Incidents were attributed to heavy rains and flooding, with operations conducted at multiple sites such as Vaal Dam and Klip River. The SAPS statement highlighted increased rescue efforts due to adverse weather conditions.
