South Africa’s pioneering black female nuclear scientist, Senamile Masango, known as “the queen of science,” has passed away at 37. Despite facing discrimination, she inspired many with her determination and achievements. Masango was the first African woman to work at Cern and promoted science education. Her death has left a void in the science community.
