Cape Town’s traffic nightmare to intensify as Sky Circle construction begins

Motorists in Lansdowne and Hanover Park should expect traffic delays this weekend as Cape Town prepares for construction of its first Sky Circle. The intersection at Govan Mbeki Road and Jan Smuts Drive will be converted into a temporary traffic circle, causing lane closures from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening. A crane will be installed in the circle, and a temporary steel bridge will be placed over Jan Smuts Drive.
