A 69-year-old woman, Devi Sigamoney, sentenced to 10 years in prison for fraudulently benefiting from SASSA grants while listed as a director in her son’s company, which received millions in SAPS tenders. Son and two others under investigation for tender fraud and attempting to bribe investigators. Sigamoney has applied for leave to appeal her sentence.
