The Cape Winelands Airport, formerly Fisantekraal Airfield, is set to open in early 2028, offering domestic and international flights. Private investors acquired the property in November 2020, with plans to invest R8 billion to transform it into a hub for air travel to Cape Town. The airport is currently in the final round of its environmental impact assessment.
