Motsoaledi to withdraw ban on cannabis, hemp food products after backlash

Health Minister Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi will withdraw regulations banning food products with cannabis and hemp after meeting President Cyril Ramaphosa. Ramaphosa supports more stakeholder consultation and public participation to address health risks, especially for minors. The regulations under the Foodstuffs Act will be withdrawn for further consultations.
