South Africans forced to work in ‘fraud factory’ due home from Asia

23 South Africans trafficked in Myanmar to return home Thursday after being rescued from a fraud factory. They were lured with fake job offers and forced to work as online scammers. Other nationals also rescued. South African embassy in Thailand coordinated repatriation with support from various departments. Almost 7,000 people saved from slave labor.
