Standard Bank’s top executives received substantial pay for 2024 despite mixed performance. Headline earnings rose 4% to R44.5 billion, with earnings per share at 2,691 cents. Basic earnings per share fell 1% to 2,644.1 cents, and total income increased by 2% to R181 billion. Return on equity stood at 18.5%, with active clients growing by 4% to 20 million.
