A former Mpumalanga teacher ordered to pay two years of future maintenance in a lump sum to a schoolgirl he impregnated twice. The pupil, living with pensioner parents, has no income and contracted HIV from the teacher. Section27 obtained the maintenance order at Nkomazi magistrate’s court on April 3, representing her since 2022. The teacher pressured her into terminating her first pregnancy with rat poison.
