Operation Vala uMgodi arrested a 29-year-old Zimbabwean for illegal gold processing in Doorn, near Welkom. Police found him melting suspected gold material in a backyard. 3.42 kg of material and processing equipment were seized. Further search revealed hidden illegal items in a manhole, including gas cylinders and cutting torches.
