A fatal armed robbery occurred when a hitchhiker shot at attackers in Gauteng. Two suspects were arrested, and one was fatally shot during the incident. The hitchhiker accepted a ride from three individuals in a red VW Polo, who then attempted to rob him. The hitchhiker defended himself by shooting at the suspects, resulting in one death and two injuries.
