Mozambican poacher Nelson Sandile Sambo, involved in killing two rhinos in Kruger National Park over four years ago, has been sentenced to 20 years in jail. Sambo, who jumped bail, was re-arrested in 2023 and pleaded guilty to charges in Skukuza Regional Court. His accomplice remains at large. The court has a history of imposing strict sentences on rhino poachers.
