A local man drowned in Kalk Bay while trying to assist a capsized paddler. The 35-year-old jumped off the harbour wall to help the 57-year-old paddler who had capsized offshore. NSRI Simon’s Town and a local fishing vessel rescued both men, with CPR efforts made on the Good Samaritan. Emergency services were activated during the incident.
