South African troops and regional forces are withdrawing from eastern DRC, with 57 soldiers leading the way. The move is seen as a result of peace talks progress rather than weakness, according to Defence Minister Angie Motshekga and SANDF chief General Rudzani Maphwanya. The withdrawal is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
