Eskom sees lower load shedding risk as demand rises

South Africa’s Eskom utility CEO, Dan Marokane, stated that the electricity network’s increased reliability will reduce outages this winter. Eskom has improved since resuming load shedding earlier this year, with a reduction in unplanned losses. The utility aims to meet demand 96% of the time despite some disruptions between January and April.
