Senior ANC members are reportedly backing billionaire Patrice Motsepe for a presidential bid at the 2027 conference. Campaign materials envision Motsepe as President, with Mchunu as Deputy President and Mabuyane as Secretary General. Motsepe, with strong ties to the ANC and business expertise, has not publicly expressed political ambitions.
