Fifteen-year-old Braedon Powell from Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club has received the Mountbatten Medal for bravery, awarded by the Royal Lifesaving Society, for rescuing a man at uMhlanga Rocks last year. He is South Africa’s youngest recipient of this honor, recognized for his courageous actions during dangerous surf conditions.
