Liam Jacobs, a member of the Patriotic Alliance, has been sworn in as a councillor in Johannesburg, replacing the suspended Kenny Kunene. Kunene resigned following a scandal involving a murder-accused businessman. Jacobs, who recently left the Democratic Alliance, was initially set for Tshwane but was reassigned to Johannesburg after Kunene’s downfall. The transport role remains unfilled.
