The City of Cape Town is the only major metropolitan municipality to achieve a clean audit outcome for the third consecutive year, as per the Auditor-General’s report. AG Tsakani Maluleke criticized the poor financial performance of local governments, with only 41 out of 257 municipalities receiving clean audits.
