The South African Weather Service has issued an orange level 9 warning for Gauteng and western Mpumalanga, predicting severe thunderstorms and 100mm to 150mm of rain on Sunday. This could lead to widespread flooding, road damage, and mudslides, reminiscent of the devastating floods in April 2022 that resulted in over 430 deaths.
