The Time Ball Tower in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront has been restored to its 19th-century condition, reopening after extensive renovations. Originally built in 1894, it served as a timekeeping aid for ships. The tower will now operate twice weekly, dropping a ball at 1pm, reviving a vital piece of maritime history for visitors.
