Cape Town para-athlete Henno Hendrikse, 28, completed his first Ironman 70.3 in Mossel Bay on November 16, placing first in the physically challenged class and 607th overall. Despite losing the use of his right arm in a motorcycle accident three years ago, he trained to swim and cycle with his left arm.
