Police in Mbombela are investigating an attempted cash-in-transit robbery on the N4 Road in Mpumalanga. A vigilant security guard driver averted the heist, causing the suspects’ Mercedes-Benz to catch fire. Multiple vehicles were involved, including a grey Toyota Fortuner and a white Ford Ranger. The security driver skillfully avoided the robbery by driving into oncoming traffic.
