Zimbabweans stayed home on 31 March 2025, defying calls for mass protests. Businesses in Bulawayo opened late or not at all due to lack of public transport. Police presence was strong across the country, with roadblocks and patrols. Schools were empty as parents kept children home. Public transport challenges were reported, with a nurse having to walk to catch a government bus.
