Eskom reports no load-shedding expected this summer with an average unplanned unavailability of 11,500MW. The power utility achieved 292 consecutive days without load-shedding by January 13, 2025, following a milestone of 275 days in 2024. Improved maintenance and a Generation Recovery Plan contributed to the stable electricity supply in South Africa, a luxury after 15 years of rolling blackouts.
