Global stock markets plummeted due to fears of a trade war after Trump imposed tariffs, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 down 8%, Singapore’s index falling 6.8%, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 dropping over 6%, and South Korea’s Kospi losing 4.4%. US futures also indicated declines, with the S&P 500 down 4.2%, Dow Jones falling 3.5%, and Nasdaq losing 5.3%.
