Joseph Kabila: DR Congo bans ex-president’s PPRD party over alleged M23 links

Former President Joseph Kabila’s party banned in the Democratic Republic of Congo for alleged links to M23 rebels. Kabila denies involvement and returns to Goma, previously seized by rebels. Interior ministry cites PPRD party’s “ambiguous attitude” towards rebel occupation. Kabila succeeded his father at 29 and led DR Congo for 18 years. PPRD has not responded to the ban.
