EFF leader Julius Malema expressed disappointment for not being invited to the meeting between President Ramaphosa and President Trump, stating he would have stood up against any “nonsense” from Trump. Malema vowed to defend the country against imperialism and claimed that the EFF is the only organization hated by imperialists. He accused the White House of gossiping about him during the meeting.
