In Qonce, two people are abducted weekly, with ransom demands. Informants believe they have identified the kidnappers’ base, alleging police involvement. Syndicates use ransom from small-scale kidnappings to fund larger operations, targeting wealthy South African business owners. Carte Blanche is investigating.
