Marcell Meyer, a 43-year-old South African man living in New York, appeared in federal court on child pornography distribution charges. Meyer, from KwaZulu-Natal, was arrested while working on a farm in Jefferson County. He used a social networking app on his phone to share child porn. It is uncertain how he will plead, potentially facing significant jail time if convicted.
