A British Airways A350 departing Cape Town turned back 3 hours into the flight due to smoke in the cockpit. The aircraft landed safely after turning back over Namibia. Emergency services at Cape Town Airport were put to the test. City of Cape Town’s Fire & Rescue supported the emergency response. Passengers disembarked safely after the pilots shut down engines.
