Major international company exits South Africa

London-based online trading provider, IG Group, is closing its South Africa operations. However, local customers will still receive service. IG Group, worth £3.9 billion, offers spread betting and CFD trading services. Established in 1974, it entered South Africa in 2010 through IG Markets South Africa, regulated by the FSCA. The move aims to provide South African traders access to global financial markets.
