Deputy President Paul Mashatile has asked ministers and deputy ministers to attend the National Convention virtually due to space constraints. The convention, a citizen-led process, will take place at Unisa in Pretoria. Legacy foundations and some political parties have withdrawn, citing government control and rushed planning. The event aims to guide the National Dialogue and will not be attended by certain government officials to prioritize citizen participation.
