Pan African Resources plans to invest R2.8bn in a facility to process gold mine waste in Soweto, targeting 600,000 tonnes monthly. The project aims to produce 30,000-35,000oz of gold annually for 15 years, potentially generating nearly $100m in yearly revenue. Construction will take two years, pending feasibility studies and permits.
