The Johannesburg gallery, facing years of neglect and safety issues, will undergo refurbishment by the Johannesburg Development Agency. Artworks will be temporarily housed at three locations. Mayor Dada Morero announced approvals for restoration, with a special exhibition of 145 artworks set to open soon.
