NPA to ask for pastor Omotoso’s extradition if appeal against acquittal succeeds

The National Prosecuting Authority plans to appeal the acquittal of Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso, who has left South Africa. If successful, they will seek his extradition from Nigeria using existing treaties. Omotoso was banned from South Africa for five years but is not considered a fugitive. The NPA will continue legal proceedings without his active participation.
