Minister of Police Senzo Mchunu praised a suspect who turned himself in for the murder of Olorato Mongale in Johannesburg. The suspect surrendered at KwaMashu police station in KwaZulu-Natal. Another suspect, Philangenkosi Makhanya, died in a shootout with police. The investigation is ongoing, with the second suspect cleared and released. Mongale’s body was found after a date gone wrong.
