Western Cape High Court Judge Mushtak Parker faces complaints at a Judicial Service Commission tribunal for allegedly lying under oath about being physically assaulted by former judge president John Hlophe. The incident occurred in Parker’s chambers in 2019, leading to Parker retracting his allegation a year later. Hlophe allegedly bullied Parker and suggested halting any criminal action. The tribunal began on 24 February 2025.
