Four students raped at gunpoint at college hostel

Eight female students at a college in Mamaila village were held at gunpoint by an unknown male in a black balaclava. Four students, aged 20 and 21, were raped after being instructed to undress. The assailant also robbed them of their possessions before fleeing on foot. Police are actively searching for the suspect in connection with four counts of rape and robbery.

Wounded SA soldiers evacuated from DRC

130 South African soldiers wounded in the battle for Goma and Sake in the DRC are being evacuated to Rwanda for medical treatment. Four soldiers need critical care, 58 need special check-ups. 14 SANDF members died in combat while defending Goma from Congo River Alliance rebels. The troops will be flown home within two days.
