South Africa’s agricultural exports hit record in 2024

South African agricultural exports hit a record $13.7 billion last year, with citrus fruit and grapes leading the growth. The sector saw its sixth consecutive annual expansion in export trade, targeting new markets. Other African countries made up 44% of the trade, with Asia, the Middle East, and the EU also significant. Agricultural imports also rose by 8% to $7 billion.
