Automotive groups warn of immediate and long-term impact of 15-16 cents per litre fuel tax increase in South Africa. Finance Minister announced inflation-based tax hikes to cover funding gap, first increase in three years. General Fuel Levy for petrol and diesel to rise to R4.01c/l and R3.85c/l from 4 June 2025. Road Accident Fund levy remains unchanged at R2.
