Malawi’s Chief Resident Magistrates’ Court ruled that Shepherd Bushiri and his wife should be extradited to South Africa to face charges including forgery, fraud, and rape. The wealthy preacher fled to Malawi in 2020 after skipping bail in South Africa. The court dropped some charges due to insufficient evidence. The defence plans to challenge the ruling in the high court, with a 30-day delay in extradition granted.
