South African-born Steve Raucher’s emergency response technology firm RapidDeploy, founded by him, has been acquired by Motorola Solutions. The deal is described as a landmark transaction and one of South Africa’s largest tech exits. A significant portion of the technical team will continue operating from Cape Town. Raucher, a former financial trader, has over two decades of experience in finance.
