A recent report by the African Development Bank predicts that the fastest-growing economies in Africa will dominate global rankings by 2025. With policies focusing on improving productivity and competitiveness in agriculture and manufacturing, growth is expected to increase in most regions. East Africa is forecasted to be the fastest-growing region, with GDP growth projected to reach 5.3% in 2025.
