Tshwane taps to run dry until mid-month due to water infrastructure upgrade

City of Tshwane shuts down Bronkhorstspruit water treatment plant for upgrades, causing water shortage in Ekandustria, Ekangala, and Thembisile until mid-month. Residents in affected areas to receive water from roaming tankers. Upgrade aims to improve pump operation for better water distribution. Shutdown in effect from May 5 to May 16, 2025.
