The Border Management Authority (BMA) deployed drones and body-worn cameras, leading to a significant increase in detecting and stopping illegal border crossings. Over Easter, more than 1,000 individuals were intercepted in just four days. Commissioner Michael Masiapato credited the success to advanced surveillance technology, providing real-time intelligence in high-risk areas like rivers and informal crossings.
